HA-450LP is a robust heat-stable alpha-amylase produced from selected strains of Bacillus licheniformis through submerged fermentation and refining extraction processes.
With superior thermal and pH stability, HA-450LP is applied to the production of alcohol and brewing.
Use of HA-450LP enables the following benefits for the alcohol producers:
Quick viscosity reduction, allowing for effective liquefaction of higher concentration of solids
Lower viscosities improve heat exchanger efficiency
Improved performance at low slurry temperatures
Enables cost-effective liquefaction
Stabilized products maintain constant activity during storage
Liquefaction thoroughly, with a good iodine test color
Effect of pH
The effective pH range is 4.5~6.5. For maximum activity, the optimal pH for HA-450LP is 5.0 to 5.9.
The exact pH optimum depends on actual processing conditions, including temperature, substrate concentration, and time.
Effect of temperature
For interval liquefaction, the temperature range of HA-450LP is 80 to 110°C, and the optimum temperature range is 83 to 86°C. It liquefies starch substrates promptly at 90 to 95ºC and maintains highly active at 100ºC. For consecutive liquefaction, HA-450LP demonstrates exceptional thermo-stability at a temperature range of 105 to 110ºC, maintains its stability for 5 to 7 minutes, and keeps on liquefying efficiently.
Packaging, Storage & Shelf-life
-
25kg, 30kg food-grade HDPE plastic drums or 1125kg IBC totes. Customized packaging is available upon request.
-
Typical shelf-life is 18 months if it is stored below 25°C in its original packaging, sealed and unopened, protected from direct sunlight.
-
Prolonged storage and/or adverse conditions such as higher temperatures may lead to a higher dosage requirement; therefore should be avoided.
Safe handling of enzymes
Inhalation of enzyme dust and mists should be avoided. In case of contact with skin or eyes, promptly rinse with water for at least 15 minutes. For detailed handling information, please refer to the Safety Data Sheet.
